KHS SWIM TEAM TAKES HOME 2ND PLACE AT STATE!

Coming off of their Region Championship the week before, the Kearns Cougars took 2nd in state in both boys and girls.  We had more medal winners than ever before.  We started off the meet with 24 points behind brighton in the battle for 2nd place.  With many great drops by our younger swimmers, we made up the difference and were able to finish 2nd place!

Relay Highlights
The Boys 400 free relay team of Todd Bradley, Cory McLaughlin, Adam Huff, and David Chandler set a new school record made Automatic All-American and took 1st place!

The Medley Relay Team of Addy Marsh, Stephanie Fredsall, Christie Bergesen, and Cindy Ludwig set a new school record and took 3rd

The Medley Relay Team of Todd Bradley, Isaac McElhaney, Justin Christensen, and Cory McLaughlin set a new school record made All-American Consideration and took 2nd place.

The girls 200 free relay team of Natalie Edge, Christie Bergesen, Cindy Ludwig, and Tibrell Huff took 1st place with an Automatic All-American time!

The boys 200 free relay team had a really close race with Viewmont, West Jordan and Skyline finishing 3rd by .13 of a second behind 1st.  But Justin Christensen, Isaac McElhaney, Adam Huff, and David Chandler went the 2nd fastest time in school history and made All American consideration.

The girls 400 free relay got revenge on Brighton from earlier in the year by holding them off and taking 2nd behind skyline.  Natalie Edge, Addy Marsh, Timbrell Huff and Megan Raby swam the 5th fastest time in state history in that event qualifying them for All American consideration.
